Stabila: A Secure Source Management Toolkit
Welcome to Stabila, the secure source management toolkit. It provides a range of features to help manage information about the data sources used on projects and the services that use them. This makes it easy to keep your data in sync across different environments and teams.
Many IT organizations and research groups have tons of data, information, and resources that they need to keep track of and use throughout their projects. In order to find the right information (data sources), you actually need to know where it is.
You can now easily configure (and re-configure) your project's data sources using a wizard that focuses on your information model.
This makes it far easier to handle changes to data sources, long term maintenance of data sources and allows each project member to focus on different parts of the work.
The result is that you'll save time, increase productivity and lower the risk of errors. Grab a copy of Stabila now and start using it today while 1.0 comes out shortly as a stable build.
Stabila gives you ready access to all this information wherever you are in a project with one central place for storing it.
Stabila is simple to integrate with any development tools or processes you already use, providing a secure source management solution that is easy to use, maintain and share.
Stabila is a tool for securely storing information about data sources in a way that enables anyone on your project to easily access this data without the need for replication of complex configuration or maintenance of shared lists.
Stabila was developed by a small team in the Clojure community at ThoughtWorks in an effort to make it possible to eliminate the duplication (and error) prone nature of typical source configuration management systems.
It's freely available under an open source license and comes with complete documentation.
With Stabila, anyone on your team can access the data they need, whenever they need it, without having to expend precious team resources on tasking back-end infrastructure that may no longer be needed."
Stabila simplifies data source maintenance and provides a secure storehouse for information about data sources applicable to any project.
The toolkit makes it easy for anyone to access and use data sources, with the information organized in ways that make sense for those working on your project.
An open source toolkit for securely managing information about datasets and data sources throughout the lifecycle of a project.
This includes reporting their status, keeping information about them in sync between different tools, querying and documenting datasets from the repository without having to install them and more.
Stabila is not a database. It isn't an ETL tool. Stabila don't store data in Stabila, nor do Stabila make direct use of the information it contains.
Instead, Stabila store metadata about data sources: A table's schema, source name and location information are elements that describe the source, who has access to it, when it was last checked and any checksum associated with it.
Using Stabila on your project allows you to expose this metadata as a secure API that can be used to access and query specific data sources in a secure way so any errors or inconsistencies can be easily identified in a single place and fixed for everyone.
